Barbara Blanchard is a fashion kid. She began her career at her dad avant-garde modeling agency, JAVA Paris, in the 90s.
While attaining a master’s degree in English Literature & Civilization, she freelanced for then emerging designers Isabel Marant, Xuly.Bët and Christophe Lemaire, ultimately laying the groundwork for her own casting company in 2000. In 2007, iconic casting director Russell Marsh offered her an assisting role in Paris, which turned into a long lasting relationship as an associate for NY, London and Paris Fashion Weeks for over 9 years. In the meantime, Barbara also brought her perspective to Elle France magazine as in-house casting director from 2014 to 2018 working with eminent photographers and talents.
Always on the move ever since, she has bolstered her portfolio contributing to international publications and collaborating with established brands and upcoming designers. Her work spans from editorial to runway shows, e-com, lookbooks and campaigns.
